Garden Care & Seasonal Services
Professional care for your garden, throughout the year.
A beautifully landscaped garden is an investment in your home, and the right ongoing care helps keep it looking good, functioning properly and developing as it should.
Our seasonal garden care services are tailored to the garden in front of us rather than based on a one-size-fits-all checklist. We assess what will make the biggest difference, agree the work with you and focus on what your garden needs at that point in the year.
Whether you need a one-off seasonal visit or would prefer regular support throughout the year, JPC can help keep your garden looking cared for and working as it should.
Your Garden Through the Seasons
Gardens change throughout the year, and what they need in spring can be very different from what they need in autumn or winter. Our seasonal garden care services are designed around those changing needs, helping you prepare, protect and maintain your garden throughout the year.
You can book a one-off seasonal visit when you need us, or talk to us about regular Garden Care if you would prefer us to keep on top of it for you.
Spring Garden Refresh
After winter, most gardens need some attention before they’re ready to be enjoyed again.
Our Spring Garden Refresh is designed to clear away the remnants of winter, tidy planting areas and get your garden looking fresh, cared for and ready for the warmer months ahead.
Depending on your garden and what it needs, work can include seasonal pruning and cutting back, border clearing and tidying, lawn and edging work, planting maintenance, weeding and general preparation for the growing season.
We’ll assess the garden first and focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference.
Ideal for getting your garden back into shape before spring and summer really get underway.
Summer Garden Care
Keep your garden looking its best when you're using it most.
Summer Garden Care is designed to keep planting, borders, lawns and outdoor spaces looking cared for during the busiest months in the garden.
Depending on your garden, this can include appropriate pruning and deadheading, border and planting maintenance, lawn and edge care, weeding, general tidying and seasonal checks.
It's particularly useful ahead of holidays, parties, family gatherings or simply when you'd rather spend your summer enjoying the garden than maintaining it.
Autumn Garden Tidy
After a busy summer, gardens can quickly begin to look tired, overgrown or untidy.
Our Autumn Garden Tidy is designed to restore order and prepare your garden for the colder months ahead.
Depending on your garden and what it needs, work can include seasonal cutting back, appropriate pruning, border tidying, lawn and edging work, leaf and debris clearance, planting tidy-ups and general seasonal maintenance.
Rather than working through a generic checklist, we assess the garden first and focus our time where it will make the biggest difference.
Ideal for gardens that need a thorough seasonal reset before winter sets in.
Winter Garden Put to Bed
Winter preparation goes beyond making the garden look tidy.
It is an opportunity to prepare and protect your planting, landscaped areas and garden features before colder and wetter weather arrives.
Depending on the garden, a Winter Garden Put to Bed can include seasonal cutting back, border preparation, leaf and debris clearance, plant protection, lawn preparation and checks of fencing, paths, drainage and garden structures where appropriate.
We can also identify maintenance or repair work that would benefit from attention before it develops into a larger problem.
For professionally landscaped gardens in particular, good winter preparation helps protect the investment already made in the space.
Would You Rather We Looked After It For You?
If you already know you’ll want help keeping on top of your garden throughout the year, you don’t need to wait until each season arrives before calling us.
Our ongoing Garden Care provides regular support tailored to your garden, with visits planned around what it needs at different points in the year.
Regular visits allow us to stay on top of the garden rather than waiting until it has become overgrown or neglected.
Depending on your garden, ongoing care can include:
-
lawn and edging care
-
border maintenance
-
seasonal pruning and cutting back
-
weeding
-
planting maintenance
-
deadheading where appropriate
-
general garden tidying
-
seasonal preparation
-
checks of landscaped areas and garden features
-
identifying maintenance or repair issues that may need attention
Garden Care can be arranged on a monthly or seasonal basis, depending on the size, style and requirements of your garden.
Garden Care With a Landscaper’s Eye
Because JPC designs and builds gardens as well as maintaining them, we look at the whole space.
We aren’t simply looking at what needs mowing, pruning or cutting back.
We also consider the condition of paving, steps, fencing, drainage, planting areas, structures and other landscaped features.
That means seasonal and ongoing garden care can help identify small issues before they develop into larger, more expensive problems and highlight opportunities to improve how the garden looks or works.
For existing JPC clients, it also means your garden is being looked after by people who understand how professionally landscaped spaces are constructed and how they are intended to perform.
Aftercare for Your New Garden
Creating the garden is only the beginning.
A newly landscaped garden needs the right care as planting establishes, materials settle and the garden begins to mature.
Where appropriate, we provide care guidance when a JPC project is completed, helping you understand how to look after new planting, materials and garden features.
And if you would rather not manage it all yourself, our seasonal and ongoing Garden Care services allow us to continue supporting the garden after the landscaping work is complete.

Sometimes Maintenance Isn’t the Whole Answer
A seasonal garden care visit can occasionally uncover a bigger issue.
Perhaps the patio no longer works for the way you use the garden, planting has outgrown the layout, privacy has become a problem or areas of the garden simply aren’t being used.
If we believe your garden would benefit from more than maintenance, we’ll tell you. There’s no obligation to redesign anything, but if you’d like to explore what could be possible, we can look at the garden as a whole through our garden design process.
What Does Your Garden Need Right Now?
Whether your garden needs a spring refresh, summer care, an autumn tidy, winter preparation or regular support throughout the year, tell us what is happening in your garden and we’ll recommend the most appropriate next step.
